Two police officers face charges related to deadly accident in Anne Arundel County
Two police officers from Anne Arundel County were charged with misconduct over their involvement in a fatal crash resulting from an unauthorized high-speed pursuit in 2023. The officers, Corporal K. Schnell and Corporal E. Vasquez, allegedly chased a white Infinity with their headlights off, leading to a crash that killed a passenger and left the driver critically injured. Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown stated that the officers misled their superiors about the pursuit, reached speeds over 100 mph without using lights or sirens, and made false statements about the incident. The officers now face charges following an investigation into the crash.
