Two people hurt in high-speed collision with building in San Francisco

Emergency crews are currently responding to a serious collision in San Francisco's Marina District that occurred early Tuesday morning. A pickup truck crashed into an occupied hotel room at the intersection of Lombard and Broderick streets after hitting two parked vehicles. Both the driver of the pickup truck and the individual inside the hotel room sustained minor injuries and have been taken to the hospital. Authorities reported that the pickup truck was speeding down the Golden Gate Bridge at 65 to 70 miles per hour before colliding on Lombard Street. City inspectors are evaluating the structural damage to the building, and Broderick Street is closed between Lombard and Greenwich streets as crews work to clear the area. It is recommended that people avoid this section of the Marina District.
