Two deadly accidents close large Las Vegas area streets
Two fatal accidents caused significant traffic disruptions in the Las Vegas valley on Saturday. The first crash occurred on the eastbound lanes of Summerlin Parkway near Rampart Boulevard, leading to a road closure. Nevada State Police announced the closure on social media at around 7 a.m., with traffic diverted to the Rampart eastbound off-ramp. NDOT personnel are present to help with the closure using cones, and motorists are advised to avoid the area for several hours and seek alternate routes. The second crash resulted in the closure of all northbound lanes on I-11 near Decatur Boulevard, with traffic rerouted to the I-11/Decatur on-ramp. Law enforcement mentioned that the diversion location may change during the ongoing investigation. Officials are encouraging drivers to steer clear of both areas if possible and find alternative routes until the scenes are cleared.
