Two dead, including teenager, in multiple vehicle accident in Trotwood.
There was a tragic multivehicle crash in Trotwood resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a 17-year-old, and injuries to several others, two of whom were juveniles. The incident took place on E. Main Street at 8:11 a.m. on a Wednesday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the collision involving a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, a 2015 Ford Taurus, and a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. Initial reports suggest that the Suburban crossed the center line, first colliding with the Taurus and then the Equinox. The driver of the Suburban sustained serious injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Tragically, the driver of the Taurus and one of her passengers, identified as Deona and Te-Auna Ellison from Dayton, lost their lives. The remaining two passengers of the Taurus, who were juveniles, were hospitalized at Dayton Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the driver of the Equinox and her passengers were unharmed. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
