Truck and train collision in Glenview sends driver to the hospital
A driver was hospitalized after their truck was struck by a train early Saturday morning in Glenview. The Glenview police responded to the incident around 4 a.m. on Depot Street. The driver was transported to Lutheran General Hospital by fire crews, and though their condition was initially unknown, it has since stabilized. Details such as the driver's age, gender, and the circumstances leading to the crash have not been disclosed. Railroad crossings at Glenview Road, Dewes Street, and Chestnut Avenue were temporarily closed but are now back in operation.
