Trapped Truck Driver Rescued After I-45 Rollover
A truck driver was rescued in the early hours of Friday after being trapped in the wreckage of his overturned cab for three hours following an accident on Interstate 45, as reported by local authorities. The incident took place on northbound I-45 at Parker Hill Road around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find an 18-wheeler in the median, with two individuals inside the cab during the rollover. While one passenger escaped with minor injuries, the driver remained trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters, along with paramedics and a helicopter flight crew, worked together using specialized tools to cut through the truck's strong metal frame in a rescue operation. After three hours, the driver was successfully freed and airlifted to a nearby hospital. It is expected that the man will make a full recovery from his injuries. The truck was carrying fly ash, a substance commonly used in cement production. The local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the rollover. At this time, the identities of the individuals involved and the severity of the driver's injuries have not been disclosed.
