Tragic pedestrian incident in Suffolk results in death of 66-year-old

A pedestrian, identified as 66-year-old Steaven Ray Hamlin, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Kissimmee Ave and Factory Street in Suffolk, Virginia, on Thursday morning. Suffolk Police responded to the scene around 10:40 a.m. and discovered the victim in the roadway. Despite being rushed to a local hospital by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, Hamlin did not survive his injuries. The driver involved has been apprehended, but charges are pending as the investigation continues.
