Tragic Iowa hunting incident: Teen fatally shot while hunting squirrels

While squirrel hunting on Saturday, Ryan was accidentally shot by another hunter, and despite efforts to save him at UI Health Care Medical Center, he passed away. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $37,000 to support Ryan's family, and numerous Iowa schools are honoring him by wearing orange and black. The Washington community, along with neighboring areas and school districts, have shown overwhelming support during this difficult time. Ryan, described as beloved, kind, and inspiring, was a member of the homecoming court at Washington High School, where this week is homecoming week.
