Tragic crash in Parrish claims lives of 2 teens, injures 2
Two teenagers lost their lives and two others were injured in a car crash in Parrish on Saturday. The tragic incident occurred early in the morning near the intersection of Silverleaf Ave. and US-301 in Manatee County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Dodge Charger was speeding on Silverleaf Ave. when it veered off the road and hit trees. The driver, a 19-year-old from Parrish, and one passenger, a 19-year-old from Ellenton, died at the scene. Two other passengers, a 17-year-old from Parrish and a 16-year-old girl from New York, were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The FHP is currently investigating the crash.
