
Tragic crash in Oklahoma leaves Fort Smith woman dead, 5 injured
A tragic incident occurred on July 26 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, resulting in the loss of a Fort Smith woman's life and injuries to five others, including four young children. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the collision took place in the northbound lanes of the Muskogee Turnpike near mile marker 55 around 10:30 a.m. The crash involved a Ford Expedition driven by Makailyn Ford and a Honda sedan driven by Hannah Ford. Sadly, Hannah Ford and her passenger Megan Herrold did not survive. Makailyn Ford and the four children, all from Van Buren, were transported to St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee for treatment. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
