Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Ohio Parents While Returning Home from Dropping Son at College in North Carolina
A couple from Cleveland, Ohio, tragically passed away in a car accident after dropping their son at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Donald Nunney, 55, and Maria Nunney, 50, both educators in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, were driving with two of their children when their minivan crashed. The couple, along with their 14-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, were heading to meet their oldest son for lunch when the accident occurred. The parents died in the crash, and the two children were hospitalized. Their daughter suffered more severe injuries but both are now in stable condition. The Nunneys were highly respected educators at local schools, with Donald teaching language arts at Joseph M. Gallagher School and Maria working at Wilbur Wright PreK-8 School. The school district provided additional support for the impacted schools following the tragic event.
