Tragic accident claims lives at Colorado dairy farm

Tragic news from a dairy farm in rural Colorado this week as it was reported that six individuals lost their lives in an incident. The Southeast Weld Fire Protection District discovered the deceased individuals in a confined space on Wednesday evening. Weld County Chief Deputy Coroner Jolene Weiner has identified the victims as six Hispanic males, including four members of the same family. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is currently investigating the cause of death following autopsies on all six individuals. The coroner's office is exploring the possibility of gas exposure being a factor in this tragic event. The victims, who included hardworking machinery repairers, were described as a close-knit and dedicated family by an outreach worker with Project Protect Food System Workers. Our thoughts are with the families and the community during this difficult time.
