Traffic near Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois disrupted by crash
The Park Ridge Police Department reported a fatal incident where a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car near the vicinity of Dempster Street and Potter Road close to Maine East High School. The police have urged drivers to avoid the area following the serious crash on Friday morning. The pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, was fatally struck at the intersection and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities clarified that the driver involved did stop after the accident. Emergency responders, along with police officers, were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation into the incident is currently being conducted by the Park Ridge police.
