
Three people killed in deadly I-70 car accident
Three individuals, including a 9-year-old child, tragically lost their lives in a rollover accident on U.S. Interstate 70 in Summit County, Colorado. The incident involved a Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck with a trailer. The driver, traveling westbound on a downhill stretch, veered off the road to the right before colliding with the center barrier and rolling across the lanes, ultimately blocking traffic. The car caught fire during the rollover. The driver, a 37-year-old woman from Deming, New Mexico, was killed at the scene, along with the two passengers identified as a 39-year-old man from Deming and a 9-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida. The Colorado State Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash, which resulted in the temporary closure of the highway.
