Three people hurt in Stamford crash

Early on Sunday morning in Stamford, a collision involving two vehicles sent three individuals to the hospital, according to police. The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Long Ridge Road. The driver of a 2016 Nissan SUV, a 39-year-old from Norwalk, was turning onto Long Ridge Road when a 2016 Volkswagen SUV driven by a 24-year-old from Stamford crashed into it. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, and the Nissan driver, who suffered life-threatening injuries, had to be rescued from the vehicle. The driver of the Volkswagen and a 30-year-old passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All three were taken to Stamford Hospital Emergency Department.
