
Teen on electric bicycle seriously hurt in crash close to Woodward Park
In Fresno, California, a teenage boy is currently in critical condition after his electric bike crashed into an SUV near Woodward Park, according to Fresno police. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Saturday when three teenagers on electric bikes were heading west on Audubon Drive towards Friant Road. One of the teens, a 15-year-old boy, unexpectedly changed lanes near the intersection and collided with an SUV. Unfortunately, the driver of the SUV was unable to avoid hitting the boy, causing him and his bike to be dragged into the intersection. The boy suffered serious head and upper body injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The other two teenagers were unharmed. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities. Traffic on Friant Road will be affected for a few more hours as the road remains closed for investigation.
