Teen killed in hunting accident remembered by Eastern Iowa high school

A senior student at an eastern Iowa school was tragically killed in a hunting accident last week. Washington High School has paid tribute to 17-year-old Carson Ryan by posthumously naming him homecoming king. Ryan was accidentally shot and killed while squirrel hunting, as confirmed by the Department of Natural Resources. The community is honoring Ryan during various homecoming events, such as wearing custom black-and-orange shirts featuring his football jersey number and displaying hand-painted window signs. A funeral service for Ryan is planned for Monday morning. Make sure to subscribe to KCCI's YouTube page and download the free KCCI app for timely updates.
