Teen killed, another injured in Whitefish crash
A tragic incident occurred near Whitefish on Saturday, August 23, 2025, resulting in the death of a teenage girl and the injury of another. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram with two 17-year-old passengers when the vehicle veered off the road at the intersection of Mountain Meadow and Tally Lake roads, leading to a collision with trees. One of the passengers, a 17-year-old girl from Bigfork, was ejected from the truck and unfortunately passed away at the scene. The other passenger, a 17-year-old from Kalispell, sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The driver, thankfully, was unharmed. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash, as indicated by the Montana Highway Patrol.
