Teen arrested for drunk driving and causing fatal crash
Appleton, Wis. authorities have reported that the individual responsible for a deadly crash early on Saturday morning is currently in custody facing multiple charges, including operating while intoxicated. The incident occurred at the intersection of North Richmond Street and the I-41 northbound off-ramp. One of the vehicles involved caught fire, but the occupants escaped with minor injuries. Tragically, the two individuals in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries, with the driver later succumbing to the harms sustained in the crash. Initial findings suggest the driver, identified as 18-year-old Carter J. Green from Larsen, was driving under the influence at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour and failed to stop at a red light. Green has been detained at Outagamie County Jail. Additional details are currently not available.
