Taxi driver killed, 6 hurt in 3-car accident in Hong Kong's Kwun Tong

A 72-year-old taxi driver tragically passed away following a collision with two private cars on the Kwun Tong Bypass that had already been involved in an accident, resulting in injuries to six individuals. The incident occurred at 11.05pm, with the two private cars colliding first. Upon exiting their vehicles to assess the damage, the two drivers were struck by the taxi driver who was unable to stop in time. The elderly driver was taken to United Christian Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight. Among the injured were the two private car drivers, a 43-year-old taxi passenger, and three other passengers from the cars, aged between 4 and 45. Thankfully, a three-year-old girl in one of the private cars was unharmed. Emergency services transported all those injured to the hospital, treating their various injuries to the face, shoulders, hands, and legs. The Kowloon East special investigation team of traffic is currently looking into the incident.
