Suspect apprehended for DUI collision resulting in death of Keller ISD coach’s spouse

The Texas Department of Public Safety has arrested a man for causing a fatal wrong-way crash in September that tragically took the life of a Keller ISD coach's wife. Eduardo Partida, 20, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault and was taken into custody on Saturday, then booked into the Parker County jail. The incident occurred on Sept. 14 when Spencer Elliott, a teacher and coach at Keller ISD, along with his wife Britni and their 12-year-old daughter Allie were driving home from a late-night baseball tournament. Just five minutes away from their Fort Worth residence, their Ford Expedition was struck head-on by a drunken driver traveling the wrong way down Boat Club Road. Britni Elliott, who was driving, tragically lost her life in the collision while Spencer and Allie sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The family has two other children who were not present in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Partida, who was also injured in the accident and hospitalized, had not been officially charged earlier due to his injuries.
