State Police probe fatal pedestrian crash in Powhatan County
A tragic incident occurred in Powhatan County, VA, resulting in the death of an individual during a midnight crash. The Virginia State Police reported that the accident involved a 2012 Toyota Camry colliding with a pedestrian on Dorset Road just after midnight on Saturday, September 13. The driver, from Amelia County, wore a seatbelt and was unharmed. The pedestrian, identified as 27-year-old Chance Tevin Burrell of Powhatan County, lost his life at the scene. Authorities mentioned that alcohol may have played a role. The driver is cooperating with the investigation, and no charges have been filed so far. The incident is still under investigation.
