St. Petersburg Company Linked to Plane in Deadly Levy County Accident

A plane owned by 424 Ventures LLC, with ties to a St. Petersburg accounting firm, crashed in Levy County over the weekend, resulting in the tragic loss of all three individuals onboard. The aircraft, a 1976 Beechcraft Baron 58, was on its approach to Williston Regional Airport when the incident occurred. The registered agent of the LLC, Monica Vernon, is associated with the St. Petersburg address where Vernon & Vernon, a certified public accounting firm, is located. The firm offers various financial services, as per its website. Records indicate that Garth Anthony Vernon, a registered agent of Vernon & Vernon, holds a private pilot certificate. The names of those on board have not been released by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, which responded to the crash. The crashed plane had departed from St. Petersburg, made stops in Kentucky, and was on its final approach to Williston Regional Airport when it went down. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident, with preliminary findings expected in about a month and final reports possibly taking longer.
