A tragic incident occurred on Thursday when a driver lost control of his pickup truck on Interstate 85 near Hogansville, resulting in a fatal crash into Flat Creek. The highway was closed in both directions for several hours as emergency responders, including an Army soldier and off-duty firefighter, attempted a rescue.
