Single vehicle crash in Rockville prompts emergency call
Emergency services were called to a baseball field in Rockville following a single-car accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses observed a 79-year-old man driving out of his garage slumped over around 12:35 p.m. The man then collided with a pole guide wire at the junction of Dewey Street and Gould Street. Rockville Chief of Police Bill McMichael mentioned that early indications suggest a medical event could have led to the crash. Due to the severity of the man's injuries and his loss of consciousness, he was airlifted by Lifeline to a hospital for treatment. Although the intersection was temporarily shut down, it has since been reopened.
