Second crash involving police car at Erie intersection
A second Erie police vehicle was in an accident at the same spot where another EPD officer had a collision a few weeks ago. This took place on Sunday afternoon at around 3 p.m. at the crossing of West 11th and Sassafras streets. As per the deputy chief, a police car with lights and sirens was responding to a silent panic alarm and moving south on Sassafras Street. Unfortunately, it collided with another vehicle that was passing through a green light on 11th Street. Thankfully, both the officer and the other driver only sustained minor injuries.
