School bus crash near Gorham High School sends drivers to hospital

A Gorham School Department bus and a minivan were involved in a collision on Wednesday morning, resulting in injuries to both drivers. The incident took place on South Street, close to Morrill Avenue, not far from Gorham High School. A media crew from Maine's Total Coverage provided images and footage showing significant damage to the front end of the minivan. According to officials interviewed by Emily Pike of Maine's Total Coverage, both drivers were taken to a hospital for minor injuries. Fortunately, students on the bus were unharmed, with officials ensuring their well-being through discussions with both students and parents. Resident Jerry Farnham, who resides on South Street, shared that he heard the crash despite playing loud music in his workshop. The section of South Street where the accident occurred was temporarily closed as crews managed the aftermath. Authorities are still conducting an investigation into the crash.
