Route 22 section closed due to multi-vehicle crash; 2 individuals taken to hospital
Two individuals were taken to hospitals in Pittsburgh following a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in the closure of a section of Route 22 in Washington County. A report of a crash involving a tractor-trailer and two vehicles was received around 6:15 p.m. at mile marker 1 in Hanover Township. Emergency services transported the two victims, with one being airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian and the other taken by ground to Allegheny General Hospital. The current status of their conditions is undisclosed. Route 22 was cleared for traffic around 11 p.m., and the incident is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
