Road closed for several hours due to fatal accident on Highway 26
A collision on U.S. Highway 26 caused a road closure near Sandy on Monday afternoon. The Oregon Department of Transportation reported that the highway was shut down for several hours approximately 2 miles west of Sandy, close to the intersection of Southeast Orient Drive. The road reopened around 5 p.m. Unfortunately, one person was killed and two others were injured in the accident.
