Rescue of trapped driver in Solvay car crash
In Solvay, New York, emergency responders were called to a car accident where a vehicle had flipped over on October 3. Solvay firefighters worked diligently to rescue a person trapped in the vehicle, which had collided with two other cars before overturning. After 21 minutes, the person was successfully extricated from under the dash and steering wheel. A team of 15 firefighters from Solvay assisted in rescuing the individual, providing medical aid to three others involved in the accident, and managing vehicle hazards. The entire incident was resolved, and Solvay units were able to clear the scene within 35 minutes.
