
Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda in critical condition following motorcycle accident in Baddi
Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali on Saturday after sustaining critical injuries in a motorcycle accident in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district. According to officials, he was brought to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in an extremely critical condition with serious head and spine injuries, and is currently receiving ventilator support. Prior to being transferred to Mohali, Jawanda experienced a cardiac arrest at a hospital in Solan. The medical statement indicated that upon his arrival, the singer underwent immediate assessment by emergency and neurosurgery teams, followed by detailed examinations and placement on advanced life support. He continues to receive ventilator support and remains in critical condition under close monitoring. Jawanda, 35, was involved in the accident near Baddi while en route to Shimla on his motorcycle. Various political figures such as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring expressed their prayers for his quick recovery. Local residents at his hometown of Pona in Ludhiana's Jagraon held a prayer at a gurdwara for his swift healing. Several Punjabi artists, including Gippy Grewal, Jass Bajwa, Kanwar Grewal, and Kulwinder Billa, visited the hospital to inquire about his condition. Jawanda gained fame with his hit song 'Kali Jawande Di' and has also appeared in various Punjabi films.
