
Prairie Grove football coach and ISS supervisor killed in car accident
A tragic car accident on July 17 claimed the life of Coach Blake Williford, who had recently been hired as a football coach and ISS supervisor at Prairie Grove High School. The school district made the announcement of his passing on Facebook following the incident. The crash occurred on Viney Grove Road near Goose Creek Road in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Coach Williford tragically lost his life at the scene, while the other driver involved was injured and hospitalized. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the accident. Superintendent Luke Humphreys disclosed that Williford had just started his contract on July 1. Prior to his role at Prairie Grove, he had served as a teacher and coach in Jay, Oklahoma. The district, in a statement, did not provide specific details regarding the circumstances of his death and asked for sensitivity from parents and students as the school community mourns this loss.
