Police say suspected vehicle discovered in fatal Crystal Lake accident
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office recently provided an update on the tragic hit-and-run incident in Crystal Lake that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy. The authorities reported that they have located the vehicle believed to be involved in the crash that occurred on Wednesday. The incident took place when two teenagers were walking their bikes back from a fishing excursion, and one of them was struck by a car traveling at 40 mph. The driver fled the scene. The victim, identified as Nick Laureys, succumbed to blunt force injuries. At this time, no other suspects have been identified, and no charges have been pressed.
