Police officers and 1 other injured in South End crash
Early on Friday morning, two Boston police officers were severely injured in a crash in the South End of the city. Footage from the incident depicted an unmarked police car with its lights flashing on Washington Street around 4 a.m. The police vehicle collided with another car at the intersection of East Berkeley Street. Both officers sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash, and the names of the officers involved have not been disclosed. A surveillance video captured the crash.
