Authorities in Lincoln are currently looking into a fatal accident that occurred over the weekend at the intersection of N 48th Street and Leighton Avenue. The initial reports suggest that a white 2014 Chevrolet Traverse exiting a parking lot collided with a motorcycle heading northbound. Tragically, the 61-year-old motorcyclist involved passed away at the hospital shortly after the incident. It's worth noting that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old, did not sustain any injuries. The investigation into the accident is still in progress.
