Police in Columbus request details about deadly rollover accident
One individual has tragically lost their life following a rollover accident in east Columbus during the early hours of Sunday morning. According to Columbus Police, a collision occurred at the intersection of Tussing Road and Americana Parkway at 2:18 a.m. when a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, driven by an adult, veered across the center line, crashing into a 2010 Mercedes. The impact caused the Jeep to flip over, leading to the driver being partially ejected. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, the driver succumbed to their injuries at 3:08 a.m. Notably, the driver of the Mercedes E350 involved in the crash fled before authorities arrived. Police are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the Jeep crossing into oncoming traffic.
