Police chase in San Diego leads to rollover accident
Authorities in San Diego engaged in a police chase on Sunday that resulted in a car crash. According to the San Diego Sheriff's Office, the incident began around 3:49 p.m. when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near State Route 56 and Camino Del Sur for a warrant-related issue. The driver evaded law enforcement and the pursuit concluded at 4:02 p.m. with the vehicle overturning close to La Jolla Village Drive and the I-805 south off-ramp. The male driver sustained serious injuries and was apprehended by police before being transported to a hospital. The female passenger, however, declined medical attention. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Diego Police Department provided support at the scene, while the sheriff's department is conducting an investigation into the chase.
