Plane crash during Northumberland County takeoff, 71-year-old pilot unhurt

A plane crash occurred in Northumberland County, Virginia, where a 71-year-old pilot named Thomas Edward Eure was flying a 1972 Bellanca 7GCBC aircraft during the Sixth Annual Fall Fly-In event. The pilot was unharmed after the aircraft veered off course during takeoff, hitting trees near the runway. Fortunately, there were no other injuries or property damage reported. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will handle the investigation from this point onwards.
