Plane accident on I-195 in Dartmouth
In Dartmouth, Massachusetts, two individuals have tragically lost their lives following a plane crash on I-195. Massachusetts State Police were alerted to the incident around 8:15 a.m. yesterday when a fixed-wing aircraft crashed in the median near Exit 19. The highway has been closed in both directions at Exit 22 as a result. A bystander not on the plane was also injured and taken to the hospital, with the extent of their injuries unknown. Reports suggest the plane may have been attempting to land at New Bedford Regional Airport, without informing the airport of a flight plan or passenger count.
