Peru man killed in motorcycle crash in city
In Plattsburgh, a 21-year-old man from Peru tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Friday night. Ronnie Gamble III was riding his 2006 Honda motorcycle west through an intersection when he collided with a northbound 2018 Chevy Silverado at around 8:20 p.m. Despite efforts at University of Vermont Health Network CVPH, Gamble was pronounced deceased. The driver of the pickup truck, a 27-year-old male, was uninjured and cooperated with authorities. Plattsburgh City Police, along with New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, worked through the night to investigate the accident. The cause is still being determined, with speed possibly being a factor. Witnesses are urged to contact Plattsburgh Police Department.
