
Penn State football player accused in ATV crash resulting in homicide
A former Penn State football player faces homicide by vehicle charges as prosecutors allege he was intoxicated during an ATV accident in rural Bradford County, Pennsylvania. The crash, which tragically resulted in the death of his girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, occurred near the New York state border in May. Boyd, a 23-year-old student at the University of Alabama, sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Neither individual was using any safety equipment at the time of the crash. The accused was arraigned in court on Wednesday morning on charges of driving under the influence while committing homicide by vehicle and aggravated assault by vehicle. He is currently in custody with bail set at $75,000.
