Pelham police advise on driver safety after numerous accidents in one day
In a span of 24 hours, the Pelham Police Department had to address five different accidents. The majority of these incidents occurred on the bustling Mammoth Road, where officials noted an increase in crashes. One tragic accident resulted in the death of a teenager. Lt. Matthew Keenliside emphasized the need for caution on the road, pointing to an unusual spike in accidents recently. He specifically mentioned that among the five crashes, two occurred at Mammoth and Keys Hill, one at Tallant Road's four-way intersection, and two more on Mammoth Road, with varying degrees of injuries. Stressing the importance of safe driving practices, Keenliside urged motorists to slow down, maintain a safe distance, remain focused while driving, and avoid impairment, especially heading into the holiday season. The Pelham Police Department's primary goal is to ensure everyone reaches their families safely.
