Partial closure of Rt. 40 due to deadly incident in Effingham County.
One individual has passed away and another has been taken to a hospital following a collision in Effingham County on Sunday. Kim Rhodes, the Coroner of Effingham County, reported that the incident took place on Route 40, located to the west of Effingham. Currently, Route 40 is shut down from Country Club Road to Funkhouser Road. Rhodes is in the process of informing the deceased person's family. No additional details are accessible at this moment.
