One killed and four wounded in head-on crash in Union County
A tragic multi-vehicle collision in Union County resulted in one fatality and left four others injured, including two children. The incident occurred on Sunday evening on Hyland Croy Road, near the Johnston Drive intersection in Jerome Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a 17-year-old driver of a 2016 Kia Forte crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a 2017 Ford Explorer with a family of four. The Kia driver passed away at the scene, while the Ford driver sustained serious injuries and the other occupants, an adult and two children, were hospitalized with minor injuries. The cause of the crash is still unknown as authorities continue to investigate.
