
Officials report 3 dead in hit-and-run on I-4 in Volusia
The Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were called to the scene of a serious four-vehicle crash, which tragically resulted in three fatalities and multiple injuries, on Saturday evening on I-4 eastbound near mile marker 108. According to officials, the incident involved a Dodge Durango, a Ford Focus, a Honda Pilot, and a Suzuki motorcycle. The Dodge Durango was reported to have caused the collision when the driver attempted to change lanes and collided with the Ford Focus, leading to a sequence of events resulting in the multiple-vehicle crash. Sadly, three individuals, including the motorcyclist, the Honda Pilot driver, and a passenger in the Pilot, lost their lives in the collision. Another person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at the hospital. The driver of the Dodge Durango left the scene, but the vehicle was later found by the local authorities with collision damage.
