Officer injured in crash in Fort Myers; search for suspect ongoing
A Fort Myers Police officer was injured by a vehicle during a traffic stop, and authorities are seeking the public's assistance in locating the driver. The suspect, known as 21-year-old Michaei Tion Archibald, fled the scene in a black 2019 Chevrolet Corvette with Florida license plate DJ78TI after hitting the officer around 7:40 p.m. The officer is currently in stable condition, and the Fort Myers Police Department sends their support to the officer and their loved ones during their recovery process. Archibald, who has a history of prior arrests, is currently evading authorities.
