Off-duty deputy from Onondaga County dies in motorcycle accident in Lincoln Town.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office is currently looking into a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred in the Town of Lincoln, involving an off-duty deputy from Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. The incident took place on a Sunday afternoon, and upon responding to the call, deputies found a Harley Davidson motorcycle in a ditch with the unconscious rider, identified as 58-year-old William Pufky, a deputy with 23 years of service. Despite being airlifted to Upstate University Hospital, Pufky sadly passed away due to the severe injuries sustained in the crash. The investigation revealed that he was riding with a group and lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to navigate a sharp curve, leading to the fatal accident. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
