Numerous interstate collisions in Indianapolis
Snowfall in Indianapolis has led to challenging road conditions Monday morning, causing multiple crashes on the interstate and slowing traffic. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place until 10 a.m., with incidents reported across different parts of the city. One such issue near mile marker 92.3 on I-70 eastbound between North German Church Road and North Mitthoeffer Road involved injuries in a three-vehicle collision. The right lane was closed, but the scene was cleared by 7:20 a.m. Additionally, there were crashes on I-465 southbound, I-70 westbound, I-465 northbound, and I-465 eastbound at various locations reported by INDOT. These incidents caused lane closures, slow traffic, and even full closures of northbound I-65 in Johnson County. Officials advised using alternative routes and driving cautiously in these weather conditions.
