Norfolk Fire-Rescue probes car accident injuring 5 taken to hospital
Norfolk Fire-Rescue was called to a service request due to a power outage on West Ocean View Ave. When they arrived, they found a car had crashed into a Dominion Energy transformer, resulting in significant damage and a spill of non-hazardous mineral oil. Five people were hospitalized, one of whom was in critical condition. Various agencies, including Dominion Energy, were involved in controlling the incident. A section of Ocean View Ave had to be blocked off, leaving residents without power.
