Niles Police seek public assistance in identifying driver in deadly hit-and-run incident
Niles Police are seeking the community's assistance in identifying the driver of a pickup truck that was involved in a hit-and-run incident resulting in the tragic death of a woman. The incident occurred Saturday night at the intersection of 5th Street and Indiana Avenue. The victim, Brenda Hibbard, was found in critical condition after a truck veered off the road, colliding with a shed and parked car. Authorities believe the driver fled the scene after striking the woman, who had gone outside in response to the crash. The truck, believed to be a 2004-2008 Ford F-150 with front-end damage and possibly missing a driver's side mirror, was captured on surveillance footage.
